Day 119---4/30/12

Last day of April!!! It's been a great day too. I really didn't have to ride all that far today...but I guess after Saturday's ride, every distance seems short. I felt that I had quite a bit of downtime today to rest and spend with this family that has welcomed me as one of their own. I'm still getting used to the weather out here. It can be so hot and sunny during the day and then the temperature drops drastically during the night so there's a chill in the air the next morning. And seeing all the mountains in the distance?!? I have to keep convincing myself that they are real and not just some scenic backdrop. It blows my mind how HUGE they seem. This evening I spent attempting to help construct a fort...I may have just been in the way but I did use the saw and drill gun. Carpendry is not exactly a skill of mine but I am willing to learn. I'm really going to miss this family. They have been a huge blessing this weekend and it just feels like home being around them. Thank you Mcdaniel family!

It is such a blessing to read your journal and experience your journey with you. Everyday I cry happy tears when I see that you are with another Christian family. You have linked us all together like some sort of "hands across America". What Hope for our Nation!
