Coast to Coast for Clean Water

Day 163---6/13/12

Posted by Athena Papadopoulos on June 14, 2012 at 1:05 AM
So today was the longly awaited day. The day that for the last 5 and a half months I was hoping and praying I would make it to. Well it came and God was definitely awesome. I really wanted to run today, and God granted me that wish. I made it through my run all the way to the pier and my foot did not give me any pain. Seriously...God was working because that was supernatural strength. There's this sort of relief that washed over me as I entered those final steps. Knowing that I've finished this course of my race in life...but theres so much more yet to come. I can't wait to see what's next. Thank you to everyone who was out at the pier today to greet me when I came in. Your presence was such a wonderful sight to see...almost better than the freezing Pacific waters. I have no idea how those surfers were still breathing out there. And also thanks to the news crews for getting the word out about the need for clean water and not making me look like an idiot on tv. What's next? I have no idea...but I'm excited to see what God has instore.

It is people like you who are doing the work of Christ that make a real difference in the world. I know you will be blessed in whatever you do next. Thank You for what you have already done in His name.
Bless & Be Blessed,

Congratulations, Athena! We knew you could do it, with God's help. I'm looking forward to reading the book you are about to write, after resting and healing, of course. -- Ernie & Sherry Stonebraker
